Old Rusty'

I found this awesome old decaying truck while mountain biking on a trail in Davidson NC. I knew that I would have to come back sometime and photograph this rusty beauty. Well I finally made it back with my gear and captured quite a few frames before the sun set. I've posted a few of the post processed images below for you to enjoy!

My fiance, Cari just joined the Toyota family this past weekend. I absolutely love my Tacoma that I got last year, so Cari just had to trade in her Honda. Blue is my favorite color!

I'm scared of bees, but I don't mind these guys.

Another great Vacation Bible School

We just wrapped another awesome Vacation Bible School at Oak Grove UMC. These kids had such a great time with all the activities, crafts and lessons. The theme this year was Beach Party/Beach Beatitudes. But, don't take my word for it. Check out the expressions on the kids faces in the pictures below. That should give you an idea of what a great time we had.

Run For Your Life!

I went along with a few friends of ours to watch them run in the Run For Your Life 4 Miler in Dilworth a few weeks ago. And of course I had to bring the camera gear along for a few shots. With folks finishing this race around 30 minutes, I had to move around fast. Check out some of the images below. Enjoy!

A few weeks ago, Cari and I were invited to visit Charleston for a weekend with some friends. I had never been before so I was really excited to go. We all had a great time exploring the city and eating at some delicious restaurants. I've posted some pretty sweet images below. Enjoy!

I just got another great haircut this morning by JD with Hunter O'Madden's Men's Haircuts in Huntersville NC. She always does such a great job. JD just joined Hunter O'Madden's. Our Engagement Photos

Here they are. Our engagement photos. We really enjoyed the afternoon we spent with our wedding photographer Stephen Torrence and his wife CJ. Stephen and CJ live in Kings Mountain which is where I proposed to Cari. We started out at an awesome coffee shop, then walked around downtown, jumped on the railroad tracks, (which we caught the attention of a Kings Mountain police officer), and then hit some awesome locations that had awesome views of Kings Mountain in the background, and other awesome locations. We ae so excited to work with these two in the future. Enjoy the photos by Torrence Photography.

BUSY EDITING

Hi everyone. I haven't blogged in a few days because I have been very busy editing a recent wedding. I've posted a little teaser of what's to come. Check back in a few days for my favorites of the wedding.

Do We Look Excited Or What?

Cari and I had an awesome time with Steve and CJ Torrence with Torrence Photography. Steve and CJ are our photographers for our wedding next April. We headed up to Kings Mountain for our engagement session last Saturday. We have enjoyed getting to know this fun duo in the last few weeks and are really looking forward to them capturing our special day. Steve posted a few of the pictures to his blog with lots more to come. The photo to the left was taken by Steve. (I practiced my Karate skills the night before the shoot............ok, not really but I think I had really good form). Oh, and Steve, if your reading this blog, I ended up getting poison ivy on my chin area. That's the price I pay to get the good shots. No worries though, I'm keeping the ivy dry on it! LOL. I look forward to sharing more of our engagement photos in a few weeks. Thanks again to Steve and CJ Torrence Photography for a wonderful day!

Take a Hike!

Cari and I went hiking with our friends this past Sunday. We headed up to Kings Mountain right off of Interstate 85. We decided to hike the Kings Pinnacle trail (that's where Cari and I got engaged. There's a photo of us in the exact spot below). It's a pretty tough trail because the second half of it seems almost straight up until you reach the top. But getting to the top is really worth it. You can see some photos on the trail and on top of the mountain in the pictures below. We had such a great time. Enjoy the pictures!

OH NO! THE BIG 4-0

This past Saturday my sister threw my brother in-law a surprise 40th birthday party. He had no idea. It was such a fun party with plenty of food and dancing....we'll a good attempt at it anyway! I've posted some of my favorites from the party below. Enjoy the photos.

I checked my email the other day while on vacation and recieved a really nice email from Susan. I photographed her last month shooting portraits at a Mary Kay event. Comments like this one is the reason why I love photography so much. I get to help create moments like these. It's so great to have the ability to do what I do. I'm very thankful! VACATION

It's that time of year again. Time for some good ol' R&R at the beach. I'll be at the beach all next week May 10-16. I'm really looking forward to laying out, playing golf, relaxing, and of course taking a few photos while I'm there! See you guys in a week. Let's go!
