Take a Hike!

Cari and I went hiking with our friends this past Sunday. We headed up to Kings Mountain right off of Interstate 85. We decided to hike the Kings Pinnacle trail (that's where Cari and I got engaged. There's a photo of us in the exact spot below). It's a pretty tough trail because the second half of it seems almost straight up until you reach the top. But getting to the top is really worth it. You can see some photos on the trail and on top of the mountain in the pictures below. We had such a great time. Enjoy the pictures!

OH NO! THE BIG 4-0

This past Saturday my sister threw my brother in-law a surprise 40th birthday party. He had no idea. It was such a fun party with plenty of food and dancing....we'll a good attempt at it anyway! I've posted some of my favorites from the party below. Enjoy the photos.

Vacation Photos

I've been on vacation this past week at Myrtle Beach. I haven't had much time to go through a lot of photos but I'd selected a few of my favorites to share below. It's been a great vacation, but it'll be back to the real world on Monday. Enjoy the photos.

Kind Words

I checked my email the other day while on vacation and recieved a really nice email from Susan. I photographed her last month shooting portraits at a Mary Kay event. Comments like this one is the reason why I love photography so much. I get to help create moments like these. It's so great to have the ability to do what I do. I'm very thankful! VACATION

It's that time of year again. Time for some good ol' R&R at the beach. I'll be at the beach all next week May 10-16. I'm really looking forward to laying out, playing golf, relaxing, and of course taking a few photos while I'm there! See you guys in a week. Let's go!

Curtis & Kayla Prom

My niece, Kayla and nephew, Curtis had their prom a few weekends ago. They wanted me to get some nice shots of them at an awesome location outside Mooresville called: Christian Tours. They have some really nice scenery. Many prom couples were there taking photos. I've never seen so many prom couples in one place before other than actually at the prom. Well, I've posted some of my favorites below. We had a pretty good time coming up with some fun shots. Enjoy the photos!

Mr. Liam

Here's a few pictures I shot of my little nephew Liam while we were waiting on my niece and nephew to arrive at the location for prom pictures. I had a few minutes to spare so I tried to get a few candids because believe me, he will not stay still for posed shots. LOL. I'll be posting some of the photos from my niece and nephew's prom shortly.

Hannah + Dustin Prom

Here's some super fun prom pictures of Hannah and Dustin. Luckily the rain held out for us on Saturday. Their prom theme was: "A night in Paris" and I believe Hannah did a great job picking out that dress and the same for Dustin's tailed tux. I had my fiance Cari shooting from a distance with telephoto lens and I have to say she did a excellent job capturing some nice candid moments! (We're a great team! I couldn't do this without her. PROM

This past Saturday, I shot Hannah and Dustin's prom pictures. Here's a shot that her Mom, Vicky took while I was shooting them. Thanks for the cool shots Vicky! I really like to try unique angles and composition as you can see from me standing really weird on the wall. Sorry you guys have to look at my rear end.
