Photo Wild 2008!

Well, I finally narrowed my way through all of the photos, and here are some of my favorites from photo wild 2008 at the Carolina Raptor Center taken March 29th. This was truly an awesome experience for me as a photographer. I had to pick a limit of three to enter into the contest that will be judged on May 3. All photos will be auctioned later that evening as a benefit to the Carolina Raptor Center. If you have never been to the raptor center before, I highly recommend going! Enjoy the photos.

Pear

Here is a photo of a pear that I shot the other night. The photos were for an exercise on controlling light on an object. I love the soft texture of the pear and the nice shadow below. Enjoy the photo!

First Barn Picture

This is a barn that I pass along Hwy 115 in Huntersville a lot and I've been telling myself I'm going to stop one day and get some shots. Well I did the other day. The sky was overcast so it provided nice even light on the whole scene. The barn is a good distance from the road, so I have to stand on the railroad tracks right beside the road and zoom way in to get a good composition. I brought it into photoshop and made some adjustments to it. I've been wanting to start a photo series of barns, so this is my first one. Many more to come! Enjoy the photo.

Carson

I've posted some of my favorites of Carson's 6 month pictures. This is my third time photographing Carson and she is getting so big and has such bright blue eyes. This session was so much fun. We had originally planned for the park, however it had been raining most of the morning, so we decided to shoot inside. We were able to get a few outside by their blooming cherry blossom tree. I believe we got a lot of nice backgrounds throughout the house that really adds to the pictures and Carson's personality. Enjoy! Leave me some comments if you would like.

Signs of Spring

Spring is here! This is such a refreshing time of the year. Tree's budding, flowers blooming, and grass growing! We've had a lot of rain lately, thankfully and it has made the grass so green around here. With the Cherry trees and dogwoods, and other trees blooming along with the green grass, it makes for some beautiful scenery. Cari and I took our mountain bikes to the park this evening and after our ride in the park, we walked around and got a few shots of the blooming trees. I've posted a few images below. Enjoy.
